Engineer - New part Development(plastic injection moulding)

Job Title: New Part Development Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

- Design and develop new parts and products using CAD software and other engineering tools

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize new part development projects

- Conduct feasibility studies, cost-benefit analyses, and risk assessments to inform new part development decisions

- Develop and test prototypes, and iterate on designs based on test results

- Work with suppliers and manufacturers to source materials and components

- Develop and implement testing protocols to ensure new parts meet quality and performance standards

- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure smooth transition of new parts to production

- Document new part development processes and results, and maintain accurate records

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field

- 2-3+ years of experience in new part development, product design, or a related field

- Strong understanding of engineering principles, materials science, and manufacturing processes

- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor)

- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills

- Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Nice to Have:

- Experience with lean manufacturing and six sigma methodologies

- Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and standards (e.g. ISO, ASME)

- Experience with finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD)

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
