Job Description

Role & responsibilities Purpose of the Job (Main Objective): Responsible for the Operation of the Refrigerated Propane / Butane / LPG Terminal in shifts including unloading/loading Operations of marine vessels/ships, bulk road tanker loading operations, Refrigerated Tanks and Mounded Tanks operations, and operation of various equipment in the terminal for safe and efficient operations. On of the prime requirements is to be well aware of Safety requirements in a LPG/Propane/Butane handling terminal Deliverables / Key Responsibilities: During the Project execution phase : Develop a complete understanding of Process design and engineering, P&ID drawings, HAZOP reports, in-depth evaluation of operations, Pre-commissioning, Pre-start up safety review, commissioning and all other activities associated to a LPG/Propane/Butane terminal. • To continuously study, evaluate and prepare commissioning of terminal operations Coordinate with suppliers and contractors in the execution of construction, precommissioning and commissioning operation of the greenfield terminal. Thoroughly understand the various works being executed at site, coordinate with other lead engineers, and prepare a detailed plan to execute the project/construction activity. • During the Commissioning and Operation phase, be the architect in the planning, coordination and execution of Project pre-commissioning and commissioning management activities. • Takeover of the terminal assets into operational mode and ensure smooth transition and stabilization of operations. During Terminal Operations • Responsibility during the terminal operations will be the management of all technical aspects of Operations and maintenance of the LPG Terminal, including the Storage Area, Jetty Area, Control Room, Fire Fighting System and Truck Loading gantry Scope and responsibility of Operations will more specifically include : 1) Tank-Truck loading operations 2) Pumphouse and tank farm operations 3) DCS Control room operations 4) Jetty ship loading / unloading operations 5) Fire Protection System 6) Bulk truck emergency rescue operations Developing and maintaining Safe Operating Procedures and ensure its strict implementation including training of junior engineers. • Operation and basic maintenance of mechanical equipment, storage tanks, Cross country pipelines, buildings, roads, etc in the Terminal. • Operate and monitor the Terminals DCS system for a fully automated LPG facility. Execute Terminal daily stock reconciliation, Receipt from ships reconciliation, and every month end inventories reconciliation. Conduct routine facility safety and security inspections as per Terminal SOP. Facilitate regular facility inspection and work with the HSE and maintenance teams to establish and implement maintenance controls/measures. • Report to Deputy Manager Operations and Manager Operations for all day to day activities and operations. Other Responsibilities • Work positively and effectively as part of a team environment Suggest ways to improve Operational Performance • Carryout such other jobs as assigned by shift Incharge / Manager Operations • Ensure a high level of safety, strict implementation of PPEs and reporting Follow all established safety rules and regulations in the terminal • Assist in measures to control and improve quality of work conditions and Safety Required Background: Education/ Experience: Minimum 4 years accredited undergraduate degree in Chemical or Mechanical engineering discipline. • Preferred 5 to 10 years and above in the LPG import Terminal operations preferably in refrigerated Propane / Butane/ LPG terminal operations. • Specific knowledge on Refrigerated Propane/ Butane / LPG receipt, Storage and distribution Experience in commissioning of Refrigerated Propane/ Butane /LPG import terminals, LPG pressurized/mounded storage tanks, pipeline and dispatch through Tank trucks and Railway wagon COMPANY NAME : Petregaz Krishnapatnam Pvt.
