Engineer II Electrical & Electronics Engineering

Job Description: As a Senior Engineer HW, you will lead and coordinate various engineering functions and operations, including quality assurance, testing, production, and research and development of new and existing product lines. Your role will involve facilitating communication among clients/customers and engineers to ensure that specifications, budgets, and deadlines are clearly communicated and understood. You will serve as a project lead for at least one project, create timelines and cost projections, organize collaborative meetings, and ensure that projects comply with specifications, timelines, and budgets. It will be your responsibility to review work and projects for technical accuracy, negotiate contracts with outside vendors, and maintain knowledge of new trends, developments, technologies, materials, and best practices. Your application of this knowledge will be crucial in continually improving product lines and production efficiency. As a part of the Global Engineering Function, you are expected to follow defined processes and adhere to the defined communication plan. Job Specifications: - Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent. - Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in power electronics design and development. - Strong knowledge of power conversion design and manufacturing. - Good exposure to engineering theory and design criteria related to power conversion. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with supervisory and leadership skills. - Thorough understanding of applied mathematics and physics is a plus. - Experience in handling multiple projects independently and guiding team members as needed. - Exposure to computer-aided drafting (CAD) software is an added advantage. - Exposure to embedded software development is an added advantage. - Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. - Self-motivated, capable of working with minimal supervision. - Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively in both written and spoken English.
