Engineer - Geotech (RE Wall) Design

The Geotech (RE Wall) Design Engineer will be responsible for the design, analysis, and review of Reinforced Earth (RE) walls and other related geotechnical structures for infrastructure projects. The role involves ensuring that all designs are technically sound, economically viable, and compliant with applicable standards, project specifications, and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct detailed geotechnical analysis and design of

  RE walls, Gabion wall, RSS, Stone masonry wall

  ,

  retaining structures

  ,

  embankments

  , and

  foundations

  for highways, railways, and other civil infrastructure projects.
• Sound knowledge of various

  ground improvement techniques

  applicable to RE walls and embankments.
• Perform

  stability analyses

  for reinforced soil structures (sliding, overturning, bearing, pull-out, rupture).
• Interpret and analyze

  geotechnical investigation reports (GIRs)

  to determine soil parameters and design inputs.
• Prepare

  design calculations, drawings, and technical reports

  in accordance with relevant codes (IRC, BS, AASHTO, etc.).
• Coordinate with structural, civil, and construction teams for design interface and feasibility review.
• Review and verify contractor/sub-consultant design submissions and provide technical comments.
• Support in the

  preparation of design basis reports (DBRs)

• Provide technical assistance during construction, including resolution of geotechnical issues at site.
• Ensure adherence to

  quality, safety, and environmental standards

• The candidate must have hands-on experience and working knowledge of geotechnical and slope stability analysis software including Slide, GEO5, ReSSA, MSEW, and Plaxis.
