Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Design and develop
SPMs, automation systems, and custom machinery
based on project requirements.
Create
3D models, assembly layouts, and detailed manufacturing drawings
using
SolidWorks
.
Conduct
concept design reviews
, perform design calculations, and ensure designs meet functional and safety requirements.
Work closely with the
production, electrical, and controls teams
to ensure smooth integration of mechanical designs.
Prepare
BOMs (Bill of Materials)
and maintain design documentation.
Support in
machine assembly, testing, and troubleshooting
during prototype and production stages.
Implement
design changes, cost reduction ideas, and continuous improvement initiatives
.
Coordinate with vendors for
component selection and manufacturing feasibility
.

Preferred candidate profile

Proficiency in
SolidWorks
(3D modeling, assemblies, drafting, sheet metal, motion studies).
Good knowledge of
mechanical mechanisms, pneumatics, hydraulics, and automation components
.
Understanding of
manufacturing processes
(machining, fabrication, tolerances, GD&T).
Experience in
designing fixtures, jigs, conveyors, pick & place systems, or robotic integrations
preferred.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good communication and teamwork abilities.
