Job Description

JOB ROLE

Benchmarking, Design analysis to finalize the design concepts for Engine and Gearbox.

Design Calculations and Simulation.

Engine Assembly and Layout studies.

Design for proper fit functioning with respect to assembly as per the Geometric dimensioning tolerance (GDT) smooth execution of product,

Create the Documents like DFMEA/ House of Quality/ QFD/ DFM/ DFA

with an aim of reducing Design cost while improving quality reliability of product,

Design Reviews with Internal (DMU with Vehicle team) External vendor for manufacturing assessments,

Release of drawings for production in line with MPDS (Manufacturing Process Definitions), Validating the design as per the Design Verification Plan and interacting with CAE reliability department.

Developing new product on the basis of requirement, functionality, ensuring timely and cost-effective product,

Calculation analysis of part before manufacturing to reduce the chances of malfunctioning of part,

Create DFMEA for the parts and FTA for assemblies during Designing stage.

Good Knowledge of Manufacturing Process - Casting and Machining.

Design Engineer with strong proficiency in PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) systems to support product design, documentation, and lifecycle control."

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Design Updating as per new homologation requirements, packaging complete vehicle.

Layout assembly study of Powertrain and vehicle integration.

Releasing DCR and supporting Development activities.

Resolve field failure as per feedback from Service team.

Maintaining Documents as per ISO:9001.

Internal Audit and maintaining relevant documents.

Manage workloads and meet Deadlines

Improve existing products

Good organizational skills

Ability to work in a team.

Creo, windchill and Auto CAD Software knowledge"
