• Job Role Summary

You will work towards achieving production targets by solving production issues, ensuring high standard of quality, analyzing and adjusting work schedules as per plan. You will be responsible for increasing productivity and performance of machines as well as personnel. You will also work towards ensuring zero defect products to achieve PPM level.

Job Responsibilities, Competencies and Success factor

• Overseeing and monitoring day to day production activities as per defined process parameters. Guiding and supporting team members to resolve deviations like line rejections, spillages & unsafe conditions etc.
• Using the 5S methodology to maintain good housekeeping standards for a safer, cleaner, more organized shop floor in the plant
• Compiling production sheets prior to machining stage and plan production schedules in accordance with best practices, efficiency and utilization of machinery.
• Achieving production targets by monitoring process parameters & quality during the shift
• Coordinating to ensure availability of raw materials by coordinating with other divisions & departments
• Performing operations in a manner that it aligns with company policies and procedures
• Identifying & reporting unsafe conditions to immediate manager/supervisor. Monitoring and following up to ensure that safety measures/rectifications are put into place
• Maintaining productive and collaborative working relationship with all technicians
• Introducing new models for quality approval processes in a timely & smooth manner
• Analyzing and recording shift production data for monthly reporting (MIS)
• Providing technical expertise to the team, responding to operator queries, performing root cause analyses to find long term resolutions
• Monitoring change over, line set up efficiency, rejection and rework analysis thereby working towards action plans/continuous improvements in the line quality parameters
• Excellent hand-eye co-ordination in order to operate machinery or use hand tools safely for completion of tasks
• Should possess attention to detail ensuring that each component meets quality and safety standards
• Works collaboratively with others to produce and develop the specified products
• Ability to perform procedural steps in correct order, accurately and timely to complete targets and further applies organizational procedure and standards of excellence
• Should possess skills and ability to perform job in a manner that minimizes hazards to oneself, others and the work environment and promotes safety procedures
• Demonstrates awareness of and concern for entire process leading to expected result and the relationship between actions and results
• Achieving Production targets on daily basis. To achieve Production KPIs like Product Cost, Yield, and Rejection
• Meeting Quality objectives by analyzing production issues, tracking them and finding short and long term solutions.
• Keeping equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.
• Adherence to and promotion of quality management systems and practices in the shop floor

Qualification and Work Experience

• DME/BE in Mechanical/Automobile/Production
• Work Experience 4-8 years of Experience Preferred Industry Experience Automobile and engine manufacturing industry Auto Ancillary companies
• Knowledge of Basic TPM, Machining practices, cutting tools etc.
• Quality system, quality tools and gauges
• Knowledge of Jigs & Fixtures design, Toolings, Metrology, CNC & programing
• Statistical tools like Hypothesis testing, DOE
• Microsoft Excel, Word & Power Point
• SAP application knowledge
