As a highly skilled and experienced Dental Practitioner, you will be responsible for providing advanced and efficient dental services with exceptional clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills. You will demonstrate competence in managing complex patient presentations and rarely require support from more Senior Clinicians. Your role will involve providing guidance to Junior Dental Practitioners, interns, and the team, as well as managing patient complaints and maintaining clinical guidelines and policies. Your key responsibilities will include participating in quality and safety initiatives, leading clinical audits, and ensuring all clinical staff are up to date with credentialing requirements. You will be instrumental in developing processes to enhance the quality of care, minimize risks, and uphold high standards of care for patients. Additionally, you will oversee safety and mandatory reporting requirements, including child safety and protection matters. In addition to your clinical duties, you will provide leadership and direction for the daily clinical management of the Dental Service. Your role will require excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to mentor and supervise staff effectively. You will handle patient records in accordance with clinical record processes and policies and act as a role model within the dental team. Furthermore, you should have previous senior dental clinical leadership experience and a commitment to public dentistry principles. Your interpersonal, communication, and team collaboration skills will be crucial for working effectively within a multidisciplinary team. You must also be adept at implementing systems that support clinical governance and conducting quality improvement activities, such as clinical reviews, incident management, and audits.
