Electrician

Electrician in a sponge iron unit maintains, inspects, and repairs the plant's electrical systems and equipment, including motors, transformers, and PLCs. Responsibilities involve responding to malfunctions, conducting routine checks, performing preventive maintenance, and adhering to safety protocols. The role often requires experience with the specific equipment found in Direct Reduced Iron (DRI) or sponge iron facilities, and a background with PLC-based systems and variable frequency drives (VFDs) is beneficial.
Key Responsibilities

• Maintenance & Repair:Perform regular inspections and maintenance on all electrical equipment.
• Troubleshooting:Quickly respond to and diagnose electrical malfunctions, implementing corrective actions.
• System Oversight:Monitor the daily operation of electrical systems, especially during their shift.
• Safety Compliance:Ensure all electrical work and operations comply with plant safety standards and procedures.
• Equipment Knowledge:Have a clear understanding of electrical components like transformers, compressors, and motors.
• Instrumentation:Maintain and troubleshoot PLC-based systems and instrumentation, including VFDs and weigh feeders.
• Reporting:Keep detailed logs and reports of shift activities and electrical system performance.

Required Skills and Experience

• Specific Plant Experience:Previous experience working in DRI or sponge iron plants is highly valuable.
• PLC & VFD Expertise:Familiarity with maintaining and commissioning PLC panels, VFDs, and instrumentation.
• Equipment Knowledge:Specific knowledge of electrical systems found in a sponge iron unit, such as those related to kilns, compressors, and power distribution.
• Troubleshooting Skills:Ability to quickly analyze and resolve electrical issues in a high-pressure environment

Pay: ₹16,000.00 - ₹21,000.00 per month
