Job Summary The Electrical Supervisor in Hospital Maintenance oversees all electrical maintenance activities to ensure the hospital's electrical systems are safe, reliable, and efficient. This role involves leading a team of technicians, managing maintenance tasks, and ensuring compliance with healthcare-specific safety standards. Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate the work of electrical maintenance technicians to ensure compliance with safety standards and hospital protocols. Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems, including emergency power, lighting, and medical equipment. Respond to and troubleshoot electrical issues promptly to minimize downtime and ensure patient safety. Manage maintenance schedules, budgets, and resources effectively. Train and mentor staff on best practices, safety procedures, and new technologies. Collaborate with other departments to coordinate maintenance activities and support facility operations. Stay abreast of relevant electrical codes, standards, and regulations, particularly those specific to healthcare facilities. Qualifications Associate’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience. Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical maintenance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role. Proven experience in hospital or healthcare facility maintenance preferred. State licensure as required for electrical supervisors. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to work flexible hours, including on-call for emergencies.
