Electrical Safety Engineer Location: Chandigarh (Pan-India travel 70-80%) Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent About Northstar Safety Systemz Indias leading EHS & ESG consultancy delivering world-class safety, sustainability, and compliance solutions across sectors. Join us to be part of cutting-edge electrical safety and energy management projects nationwide. Key Responsibilities Lead Electrical Safety Audits (CEA, IS standards), including IR Thermography Level II, earthing system design, relay coordination Conduct Lightning Protection System studies (IEC 62305 / IS 2309) and earthing adequacy assessments Perform Arc Flash Hazard Analysis (IEEE 1584) and develop PPE recommendations Develop and implement Lockout-Tagout (LOTO) and permit-to-work procedures Conduct energy efficiency audits and IoT-enabled predictive maintenance of electrical assets Prepare detailed technical reports and client presentations Mentor junior electrical engineers and deliver client training Liaise with regulators for electrical safety compliance Qualifications B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering Certified Electrical Safety Auditor (CEA) / NFPA 70E Practitioner IR Thermography Level II/III certified Experience 8+ years in electrical safety in heavy industry or utilities Proven experience with arc-flash studies and lightning protection projects
