Job Description

Job Purpose- To drive the implementation of safety management systems and promote safety culture across the Plant

Qualifications & Experience

Minimum Degree: PDIS/ADIS
Minimum experience: 2 years

Key Challenges of the Role

Getting involvement and engaging all employees in the promotional Events/Programs/Activities
Timely closure of action points and CAPA
Driving internal teams to capture Near miss incidents
Creating safe culture and consciousness on safety among employees to make them follow SOP

Key Decisions Taken Independently

Identification of HIRA projects
New safety system / procedure introduction

Main Accountability-

To train & advise the concerned dept. in planning and organizing measures necessary for the effective control of incidents.
To advise on safety aspects in all jobs studies and guiding in carrying out detailed Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment.
To carry out detail Accident investigation and root cause analysis.
To plan, co-ordinate with CFT & carry out plant safety inspections/Walk through audits.
Ensuring all Statutory compliances related to Factories act.
Providing safety related training in line with EHS Training Calendar.
Approval for Work Permit for activities carried across plant.
Effective implementation of procedures / guidelines from Central EHS team.
Ensure safety features and facilities are addressed during design of new process/ equipment.
Address and resolve safety concerns and suggestions raised by employee in the shop floor.
Safety MIS Reporting.

To ensure proper working of equipment critical to safety.
