Electrical Maintenance Engineer

As an Electrical Maintenance professional, your role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of all electrical equipment, minimizing downtime, and maintaining safety standards through preventive and corrective maintenance activities. Key Responsibilities: - Perform preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of all electrical equipment and machinery. - Inspect and maintain electrical panels, distribution boards, transformers, motors, drives (VFDs), relays, and switchgear. - Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults, wiring issues, short circuits, and component failures. - Ensure uninterrupted power supply to all production and utility areas. - Maintain maintenance records, reports, and logbooks for all electrical work. - Assist in installation and commissioning of new machines, panels, and systems. - Coordinate with vendors for spare parts procurement and AMC services. - Monitor energy consumption and implement energy-saving measures. - Comply with all electrical safety procedures, PPE usage, and statutory regulations. - Provide technical support during audits, inspections, and shutdowns. - Train operators and junior technicians on basic maintenance and safety practices. Qualification Required: - ITI in Electrical Experience Required: - Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical maintenance (manufacturing / plant / facility) Company Details: N/A This role requires a strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, PLCs, drives, and control panels. Additionally, you should possess the ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams, schematics, and manuals. Experience with preventive maintenance schedules and tools is essential, along with an understanding of earthing systems, LT/HT panels, DG sets, UPS systems, and lighting circuits. Good problem-solving, analytical, and teamwork skills are key, as well as hands-on experience with electrical testing instruments such as multimeter, megger, clamp meter, etc. Awareness of ISO, 5S, and safety standards is also important.
