Role Overview

Electrical Engineer (Executive/Assistant Manager)

Key Responsibilities

• Lead

  erection, installation, and commissioning

  of electrical systems for

  CRM/HRM (Pickling Line, Tandem Cold Rolling Mill, Continuous Annealing/ETL lines)

  .
• Hands-on execution and troubleshooting of

  MV & LV drive systems (ABB ACS6000, ABB ACS880, Siemens Drives)

  and associated

  MV/LV motors

  .
• Supervise commissioning of

  automation systems (Siemens S7-300 PLC, ABB PEC Controller, X-PACT Controller, SCADA, HMI/WinCC)

  .
• Oversee integration and tuning of

  Level-1 logic and Level-2 automation systems

  with process equipment.
• Coordinate and validate

  thickness gauge, load cell, laser welder, and surface inspection systems

  during commissioning.
• Ensure accurate review of

  SLDs, GA drawings, cable schedules, interlock logics, control philosophy, and I/O list verification

  .
• Conduct

  FAT, SAT, loop checks, drive parametrization, and IBA data analysis

  to stabilize process performance.
• Drive

  revamp and improvement projects

  for mills (PLTCM/CTCM/ETL), ensuring minimal downtime and enhanced reliability.
• Anchor

  on-site safety (LOTO, arc-flash compliance, earthing practices)

  and ISO documentation (ISO 9001, ISO 50001 ENMS).
• Manage

  spare parts planning, preventive & predictive maintenance schedules, and breakdown analysis

  .
• Collaborate with OEMs like

  SMS-Siemag, Danieli, ABB, Siemens

  during project execution.

Candidate Profile

• Education:

  B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering.

• Experience:

  48 years in

  project execution & maintenance in steel plants (CRM/HRM/ETL lines)

  .
• Strong expertise in

  AC Drives (ABB ACS6000, ACS880), PLC/DCS (Siemens Step-7, Logicad, Codesys), IBA Analyzer, and HMI (WinCC)

  .
• Hands-on knowledge of

  process systems – rolling, pickling, emulsion, tinning, thickness control, and L1–L2 integration

  .
• Exposure to

  digitalization projects

  such as

  Yard Management Systems

  and

  Surface Inspection Systems

  will be preferred.
• Good understanding of

  electrical codes (IEC/IS/IEEE), safety audits, and energy management systems

  .
• Ability to lead

  multidisciplinary site teams

  , handle contractors, and deliver projects within defined timelines.
