Electrical Engineer – Plant Maintenance

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Electrical Engineer to handle plant maintenance and ensure smooth operations of electrical systems, equipment, and utilities. The role involves preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and ensuring compliance with safety standards while supporting plant productivity.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform operation and maintenance of HT (High Tension) and LT (Low Tension) panels, transformers, circuit breakers, and distribution systems.
• Carry out maintenance of conveyor systems and DVTs, ensuring minimum downtime and efficient plant operations.
• Oversee and maintain HVAC systems to ensure proper cooling, ventilation, and environmental control within the plant.
• Manage HTP (High Tension Power) systems and fire protection equipment, ensuring operational safety and compliance with statutory norms.
• Conduct regular electrical inspections, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting of all plant machinery and electrical infrastructure.
• Ensure safe operations by strictly following electrical safety standards and company policies.
• Maintain records of maintenance activities, breakdowns, and service reports for continuous improvement.
• Coordinate with external vendors, contractors, and utility providers for specialized services.
• Support energy efficiency initiatives and contribute to cost-saving measures within the plant.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in plant/electrical maintenance (manufacturing or industrial setup preferred).
• Hands-on experience with HT & LT systems, conveyors, HVAC, HTP, and fire-fighting equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of electrical safety standards, statutory compliance, and preventive maintenance practices.
• Ability to work in shifts and respond quickly to breakdowns.
• Good communication and team coordination skills.
