Job Description

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspection and Maintenance:Performing routine inspections of electrical systems, including panels, conductors, and insulators, to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
  • Troubleshooting and Repair:Diagnosing and resolving electrical faults and malfunctions in panels, wiring, and associated equipment, often using specialized testing and diagnostic tools.
  • Component Replacement:Repairing or replacing faulty electrical components like circuit breakers, relays, contactors, transformers, and motors, ensuring proper functionality.
  • Panel Maintenance:Ensuring proper operation and maintenance of electrical distribution panels, including cleaning, tightening connections, and replacing damaged components.
  • Conductor Management:Inspecting and maintaining the integrity of conductors, ensuring proper connections, insulation, and routing, while also addressing issues like corrosion or wear.
  • Insulator Maintenance:Identifying and addressing issues with insulators, such as cracks, damage, or contamination, that could lead to short circuits or grounding problems.
  • Safety Compliance:Ensuring all electrical work is performed in accordance with relevant safety codes and regulations, prioritizing worker safety and preventing electrical hazards.
  • Documentation:Maintaining detailed records of maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs, and parts used, for future reference and analysis.
  • Collaboration:Working with other maintenance team members, engineers, and operators to address electrical issues and ensure smooth plant operations.
  • Preventive Maintenance:Developing and implementing preventive maintenance schedules for electrical systems and components to minimize downtime and extend their lifespan.
  • New Installations:Assisting with the installation of new electrical equipment and systems, ensuring proper integration with existing infrastructure.
  • Training and Support:Providing technical guidance and training to junior engineers and technicians on electrical maintenance procedures.
  • Inventory Management:Maintaining an inventory of spare electrical parts and components, ensuring availability for repairs and replacements.
  • Root Cause Analysis:Investigating the root causes of electrical equipment failures and implementing measures to prevent future occurrences.
  • Vendor Management:Coordinating with vendors and contractors for electrical equipment maintenance and repairs.
  • Staying Updated:Keeping up-to-date with advancements in electrical engineering and power plant technology to implement best practices.

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: ₹10,543.05 - ₹41,808.61 per month
