• Accountable to drive Electrical Electronic/ Electro Mechanical Product Development ensuring Cost, Performance, Quality & Project Time alignment with Management Objectives
• Accountable to Undertake Design project planning, prepare budgets, take necessary approvals and track progress of tasks with associated design agencies and suppliers. Should take care to manage the Budget optimally.
• Accountable to define the correct specification of requirements for the product being developed, and in case of Reverse Engineering ensure to analyze, deconstruct and document the spec of hardware/software to understand its design and functionality and provide inputs to improve or develop new solutions.
• Be responsible to build and manage a skilled technology team and ensure the security of all assets and data 
• Responsible for preparing the list of required infrastructure and projecting its budget for the Department to aid suitable product development, and ensure implementation after taking suitable approvals from management.
• Should drive best practice in design including EMI/EMC wherever applicable and be responsible to verify/validate PCB/component designs and performance considering all safety and certification requirements
• Prepare design artifacts such as Hardware requirement document, Hardware design document, Electronic stress analysis, reliability analysis, Hardware-software interface document, EMC filter design analysis report etc.  
• Discuss proposals with Proprietary part manufacturers, and verify that part meets desired Design and performance Standards, Document specifications and technical reports and follow defined development processes  
• Responsible to verify and validate all components are designed conforming to relevant domestic and export standards and that all critical parts have undergone appropriate FEA/CAS/CAE/DFMEA and maintain records  
• Accountable to Maintain documentation of BOM part number release and ECN process control and publishing  
• Coordinate suitably with Certification agencies and Testing personnel for product fitting/mounting feasibility, and for certification/ homologation requirements as applicable. 
• Manage relations with all related agencies such as Vendors, Internal departments, Certification authorities etc

CANDIDATE PROFILE :

• Should have relevant experience in Electric Electronic or  Electromechanical Actuators, Pressure Sensors, Rotary Actuator ,  Electromechanical product development or component design or Automotive EE component Design
• Should have handled team in at least Manager position, with above 10 yrs relevant experience
• Knowledge on Gerber data ( design of PCB), Skilled to Read, and Understand  relevant Design software
• Should have good Domain knowledge in Electrical and Electronic products used in automotive/ industrial sector, Knowledge on principles of fundamental Electrical/electronic components in product circuitry, their design, use of appropriate Materials and good Analytical skills.
• Should be able to research and inform the selection and interconnection of physical devices in a variety of topologies to meet performance specifications, environmental requirements, power and cost budgets, operating life requirements, and other design constraints with respect to overall design and engineering methods required for electrical/electronic systems.
• Should be able to do Reverse Engineering,
• Should be able to document the steps of the Design process, define SOP & timelines, track progress and handle course corrections and Engineering Change modifications while maintaining relevant records in appropriate formats.
• Knowledge of relevant standards and certifications associated with such product development.
