Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and manage

    detailed 3D models

    using AVEVA E3D/SP3D (oil & gas).
  • Model

    equipment layouts

    , cable trays, lighting systems, earthing, and Ex-class instruments.
  • Generate

    cable routing

    , tray layouts, lighting/power plans, grounding plans, and MTOs.
  • Produce

    one-line diagrams

    , schematics, BOQs, and construction drawing packages.
  • Perform regular

    model reviews

    and clash detection with civil, mechanical, and instrumentation teams.
  • Maintain drawing/document control and manage design revisions.
  • Update

    redline markups

    , prepare

    as-built drawings

    , and respond to RFIs.
  • Ensure designs comply with international standards (IEC, NEC, API), Zone/Ex classifications, and offshore safety norms.
  • Liaise with engineering teams and participate in design reviews and technical meetings.
  • Mentor junior designers and support cross-discipline coordination.

Qualifications & Experience

  • B.E./Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Drafting.
  • Minimum 8+ years of experience for offshore oil & gas or petrochemical projects.
  • Proficiency in E3D/SP3D; AutoCAD, Navisworks, SmartSketch.
  • Experience in EPC or FEED projects executed for major clients.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.
