Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Lead the site safety team to ensure compliance with corporate standards and government regulations while driving safety performance improvements.
Provide expert safety support during the planning and execution of initial contract start-up activities.
Conduct timely safety audits at site and subcontractor levels and submit detailed reports to the SBU EHS Lead.
Liaise with clients on safety-related matters and ensure implementation of contractual safety standards.
Maintain accurate records of accidents, near misses, and hazardous occurrences at the site.
Periodically review and update site-specific safety plans in collaboration with the project management team.
Ensure safety signage, barriers, and communication materials are in place to prevent incidents and promote awareness.
Perform Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA) for all site activities and implement control measures.
Ensure the availability and proper use of PPEs and other essential safety equipment at the site.

Preferred candidate profile

Bachelors degree in engineering, Environmental Science, or related field.
Certification in Occupational Health & Safety (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) preferred.
Minimum 5 years of experience in EHS management within construction or industrial projects.
