Job Description

Role & responsibilities

  • Support the development of OHS procedures and programs
  • Advise and instruct on various safety-related topics (Machine safety ,work permit system, Vehicle safety , Traffic management, Chemical Safety etc.)
  • Conduct risk assessment and enforce preventative measures
  • Develop BBS training programs and deliver safety trainings.
  • Initiate and organize OHS training of employees and executives
  • Inspect premises and the work of personnel to identify issues or non-conformity (e.g. not using PPEs, not following of safe work procedures etc.,)
  • Record and investigate incidents to determine causes and handle workers compensation claims
  • Prepare reports on occurrences and provide statistical information to corporate office
  • Develop and implement safety training programs to ensure compliance with safety regulations
  • Conduct safety inspections and audits to identify potential safety hazards
  • Investigate and document workplace incidents, injuries and property damage
  • Develop and monitor safety policies and procedures
  • Develop and implement emergency preparedness plans
  • Conduct safety talks and awareness programs
  • Develop and administer safety policies, procedures and programs to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Monitor safety compliance and ensure adherence to safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of safety programs and activities.
  • Prepare safety reports for management review.

  • Site Inspections & Audits as per IS standards
  • Emergency Preparedness & Response
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Problem- solving and decision- making abilities
  • Ability to motivate and lead teams
  • Knowledge of potentially hazardous materials or practices
  • Experience in writing reports and procedures for health and safety
  • Proficient in MS Office; Working knowledge of safety management information systems is a plus with knowledge in safety management, engineering or relevant field is preferred
  • Certificate in occupational health and safety
