Key Responsibilities: EHS Manager _ Sonipat 1. Compliance: Ensure full compliance with local, state, and national environmental and safety regulations (e.g., CPCB, MoEFCC, OSHA, EPA equivalents). Maintain all necessary permits and licenses (e.g., Hazardous Waste, Air & Water consents, Explosives, Factory License). Interface with government and regulatory agencies during audits, inspections, and reporting. 2. Safety Management: Lead risk assessments, HAZOP, and Job Safety Analysis (JSA) for plant operations. Implement behavior-based safety (BBS) programs and regular safety trainings. Investigate incidents/accidents, conduct root cause analysis, and ensure corrective/preventive actions (CAPA). Oversee emergency preparedness plans, including mock drills and emergency response training. 3. Environmental Management: Oversee waste management (hazardous and non-hazardous), air emissions control, effluent treatment, and water conservation. Manage ETP/STP operations and ensure zero liquid discharge (ZLD), if applicable. Drive sustainability initiatives in line with ESG goals. 4. Occupational Health: Manage occupational health surveillance programs (e.g., periodic medical checkups, ergonomics evaluations). Coordinate with occupational health centers (OHC) and ensure availability of medical support for employees. 5. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain and update all EHS documentation (SOPs, MSDS, permits, audit reports). Prepare and submit EHS reports to corporate, regulatory authorities, and stakeholders. Lead internal and third-party EHS audits. 6. Training and Awareness: Develop and implement EHS training modules for employees, contractors, and visitors. Conduct toolbox talks and safety induction programs. Promote continuous EHS awareness through campaigns, signage, and workshops. Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor's or Masters degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Safety, or related field. Diploma in Industrial Safety from a recognized institute (as per Factories Act requirements). Minimum 8–12 years of EHS experience in a chemical, agrochemical, or process manufacturing environment. In-depth knowledge of chemical safety, PSM (Process Safety Management), and handling of hazardous materials. Key Competencies: Strong leadership and interpersonal skills. Analytical and problem-solving mindset. Excellent communication (verbal and written). Familiarity with tools like ISO 14001, ISO 45001, OHSAS, SAP EHS modules is a plus.
