Job Summary
The Education Counsellor is responsible for providing guidance and support to prospective students and their families in selecting appropriate educational programs that align with their career goals. This role requires excellent communication skills, empathy, and the ability to build trust to help students make informed decisions.
Key Responsibilities
Student Counseling:
- Counsel prospective students and parents regarding program options, career opportunities, and admission procedures.
- Understand students' needs and recommend suitable courses or programs.
2.Admissions Support:
- Assist students in the application process, including filling out forms and understanding documentation requirements.
- Provide accurate information about fees, scholarships, and financing options.
3.Follow-Ups:
- Maintain a database of leads and follow up with students and parents to convert inquiries into enrollments.
- Schedule and conduct follow-up sessions to address any concerns.
4.Workshops & Seminars:
- Organize and participate in education fairs, career counseling sessions, webinars, and other promotional events.
- Present information about the institution and its offerings effectively.
5.Collaboration:
- Work closely with the marketing team to align strategies and improve lead generation.
- Coordinate with the academic team to stay updated on new courses and curriculum changes.
6.Reporting:
- Prepare daily/weekly/monthly reports on counseling activities and enrollment targets.
- Track progress against goals and share insights with management.
Qualifications and Skills Required
Education:
Bachelors degree in Education, Psychology, or a related field.Experience:
2-5 years of experience in student counseling, admissions, or a related role (freshers with strong communication skills may also apply).Skills:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
- Ability to empathize and build trust with students and parents.
- Organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools.
