Opportunity –

As Editorial Manager, you will:

  • Lead the editorial development of Science & Computer Science content for the School STEM portfolio.
  • Manage end-to-end editorial processes, ensuring content quality, curriculum alignment, and pedagogical excellence across print and digital formats.
  • Drive innovation by translating market insights and academic trends into learner-centric content.
  • Integrate 21st-century skills, Diversity & Inclusion, and NEP 2020/NCF 2023 guidelines into editorial planning.
  • Lead and mentor a team of editors and freelancers, managing schedules, budgets, and cross-functional workflows.
  • Collaborate with Product, Sales, and Marketing teams to align editorial strategy with business goals.
  • Engage with authors, consultants, and academic experts to enrich content and ensure relevance.
  • Take ownership of a defined portfolio, driving growth through new launches, revisions, and regional adaptations.

Your work will directly impact the quality and reach of OUP’s STEM offerings, supporting both academic excellence and business growth.

About You

Essential Criteria

  • Master’s degree in Science, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 8–10 years of editorial experience in K–12 STEM publishing.
  • Proven leadership in managing editorial projects and teams.
  • Strong understanding of CBSE, ICSE, and State Board curricula.
  • Experience in developing both print and digital learning materials.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.

Desirable Criteria

  • Familiarity with editorial tools and digital content workflows (e.g., InDesign, XML, CMS).
