ECHO TECHNICIAN

Job Summary:

The ECHO Technician is responsible for performing echocardiography and other non-invasive cardiac diagnostic procedures, ensuring high-quality imaging and accurate data for the diagnosis and treatment of cardiac patients. The role requires technical proficiency, patient care, and adherence to hospital and departmental protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform 2D Echo, Color Doppler, Stress Echo, and other cardiac diagnostic tests as advised by the physician.
• Prepare and position patients for the procedure, ensuring comfort and safety.
• Operate and maintain echocardiography machines and related equipment.
• Ensure accurate recording, documentation, and reporting of test results in the hospital information system (HIS).
• Assist cardiologists during specialized cardiac diagnostic procedures if required.
• Perform routine calibration and maintenance checks on equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness and infection control standards in the echo lab.
• Manage patient scheduling, workflow, and reporting in coordination with the MRD and OP/IP departments.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient records and findings at all times.
• Participate in training, quality improvement, and accreditation activities as required by the hospital.

Qualifications & Experience:

• B.Sc in Cardiac Technology or equivalent qualification.
• Certification in Echocardiography preferred.
• Minimum 1–3 years of experience in a hospital or diagnostic center.
• Familiarity with hospital software (HIS / PACS) and digital reporting systems.

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy and physiology.
• Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting echo machines.
• Good communication and patient interaction skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in reporting.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and within a team.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From ₹15,000.00 per month
