Job Description

An HSE Dy. Manager-Safety job in a hotel project involves developing and implementing safety policies, conducting site inspections and audits, leading risk assessments and incident investigations, ensuring compliance with regulations, and promoting a strong safety culture for construction personnel. Key responsibilities include training, hazard identification, reporting, and collaborating with project teams to integrate HSE into all phases of the hotel development.

Key Responsibilities

Policy & Procedure Development:

Assist in creating and implementing health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies and procedures for the hotel project.

Site Inspections & Audits:

Conduct regular inspections and audits of the construction site to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards and local regulations.

Risk Management:

Perform risk assessments to identify potential hazards and recommend preventive measures to minimize risks to workers and the environment.

Incident Investigation:

Investigate accidents, injuries, and near-misses to determine root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

Compliance & Reporting:

Ensure adherence to local, state, and national safety regulations and maintain accurate records of safety activities, inspections, and incidents.

Training & Awareness:

Organize and conduct safety training sessions, workshops, and awareness programs for all employees and contractors to promote a strong safety culture.

Liaison:

Serve as a key contact for all safety-related matters, liaising with clients, regulatory bodies, and project management teams to address safety concerns.

Project Integration:

Collaborate with project teams to integrate HSE considerations into project planning and execution from conception to completion.

Emergency Preparedness:

Assist in the development and implementation of site-specific emergency response procedures and conduct regular safety drills.

Required Qualifications

Education:

A Bachelor's degree (B.Tech.) in a relevant field, such as engineering or science.

Professional Qualifications:

Relevant professional qualifications in HSE and/or Fire & Safety management systems.

Experience:

Previous experience in health, safety, and environmental management, with a proven track record of safety deliverables.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in risk assessment, safety audits, incident investigation, and an understanding of relevant HSE management systems and regulations.
