Role & responsibilities Key Responsibilities Prepare and maintain QA/QC documentation related to pipeline fabrication, erection, and testing. Develop Inspection & Test Plans (ITP), Quality Assurance Plans (QAP), Method Statements, and other project-specific QC documents. Carry out inspection of materials, welding, NDT reports, hydro-testing, and other quality-related activities as per project specifications. Coordinate with third-party inspection agencies and client representatives for inspections and approvals. Monitor welding and fabrication processes, verify WPS/PQR, and ensure compliance with project standards. Ensure testing and commissioning activities are documented and approved by the client. Track and facilitate clearance of all snag/punch points during execution and before project handover. Maintain quality records including material traceability, calibration records, and inspection reports. Provide quality inputs during project execution to ensure compliance with ASME/IS/API or client-specific standards. Support internal and external audits related to QA/QC. Work closely with project, safety, and site teams to ensure alignment with quality and HSE standards. Preferred candidate profile Qualifications & Experience Educational Qualification: Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 2-3 years of QA/QC experience, OR Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 45 years of QA/QC experience. Preferred Certification: NDT Level II certification (RT, UT, MT, PT). Other Requirements: Knowledge of Tank Fabrication will be preferred Knowledge of welding processes, materials, and pipeline fabrication standards. Familiarity with codes and standards (ASME, IS, API, OISD, etc.). Proficiency in MS Office tools and basic knowledge of AutoCAD. Good communication and report-writing skills. Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer with a strong focus on creating detailed project-related drawings for electrical panels, process and metering skids, and turnkey projects. Based primarily in our Navi Mumbai office, the role requires expertise in AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM to produce precise 2D/3D drawings, with occasional on-site support for fabrication, installation, and commissioning in Oil & Gas, data centers, and other sectors. Key Responsibilities Project-Related Drawings: Develop detailed 2D/3D drawings for electrical panel enclosures, process and metering skids, cooling systems, and structural supports using AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project specifications. Design Development: Create and refine technical drawings, layouts, and schematics to support manufacturing and project execution, ensuring functionality and adherence to industry standards. On-Site Execution (As Required): Support fabrication, assembly, installation, and commissioning of mechanical systems at project sites, ensuring alignment with approved drawings and integration with electrical and automation systems. Collaboration: Work closely with electrical and automation engineers to ensure mechanical drawings align with control panels, SCADA, and PLC systems for turnkey projects. Quality Assurance: Perform design validations and simulations to ensure drawings meet performance, reliability, and client requirements. Documentation: Prepare comprehensive documentation, including detailed drawings, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and project reports, to facilitate manufacturing and installation. Qualifications Education: B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Experience: 2-5 years in mechanical design, with a focus on creating project-related drawings for electrical panel manufacturing, process/metering skids, or turnkey projects in Oil & Gas or data centers. Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM for creating precise 2D/3D project drawings. Knowledge of manufacturing processes for electrical panels and process/metering skids. Familiarity with industrial automation and integration with electrical systems. Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities. Ability to work independently in an office setting and adapt to on-site requirements.
