The Sr. Manager / Manager Finance will oversee all financial activities of the branch, with a particular focus on the requirements of the freight forwarding, customs brokerage and logistics industry. This role is responsible for financial planning, analysis, reporting, compliance, and process improvement, ensuring the branch financial discipline and supporting business growth. Key Responsibilities: Financial Management & Reporting Oversee day-to-day accounting and finance operations, including AP/AR, general ledger, and bank reconciliations. Prepare and analyse monthly financial / MIS statements in line with management requirements. Monitor budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections. Ensure timely and accurate billing, invoicing, and revenue recognition, especially for freight forwarding, customs brokerage & logistics transactions. Industry-Specific Operations Manage financial aspects of freight forwarding for both air & ocean including job costing, shipment profitability analysis, and cost allocation. Oversee customs brokerage billing, duty/tax payments, and reconciliation of PD Accounts. Oversee warehousing, distribution and trucking billing and cost and further analysis. Liaise with operations and sales teams to ensure accurate capture of all revenue and costs related to shipments and customs clearances. Compliance & Controls Ensure compliance with local, state including customs and trade-related requirements. Coordinate with internal & external auditors and regulatory authorities. Implement and maintain robust internal controls and SOPs tailored to the logistics and customs environment. Tax related compliances Process Improvement Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations. Team Leadership Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development. Qualifications & Experience: B.com/M.com / MBA (Finance) / CA Inter More than 8 years of progressive experience in finance/accounting, with at least 1-2 years in a managerial role. Mandatory Requirements: Experience in the freight forwarding and/or customs brokerage / logistics industry. Strong knowledge of industry-specific financial processes, documentation, and compliance. Proficient in accounting software and ERP systems relevant to freight forwarding & logistics industry. Fair knowledge on tax matters Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities.
