  • Ward assistants / paramedical staff (functional coordination only) Span of control Covers assigned wards, ICU, and/or emergency department during duty hours
  • ROLE SPECIFICATION

    Basic Qualification/Education/Vocational Training Advanced Qualification/Certification/Specialist Training Minimum Experience /Specific/Relevant Experience

  • MBBS degree from a recognized university
  • Valid registration with State Medical Council or MCI/NMC
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) & ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certified (mandatory/preferred)
  • Additional training in emergency medicine or critical care (desirable) 03 years post
  • MBBS (freshers with internship in reputed hospitals can be considered)
  • Prior exposure to emergency care, ICU, or inpatient ward duties preferred
  • Familiarity with hospital EMR/clinical documentation systems is an advantage

  • OBJECTIVE

    To provide round the clock medical coverage, patient assessment, and immediate clinical interventions in assigned wards, ICU, and emergency areas, ensuring patient safety, timely escalation to consultants, and adherence to hospital protocols. 1 Patient Assessment & Care 2 Emergency Management

    KEY RESPONSIBILITY

  • Perform initial examination and history taking of patients on admission
  • Conduct regular ward rounds and update clinical notes in patient records
  • Monitor vital signs, lab reports, and clinical progress
  • Attend and manage emergencies promptly in ER, ICU, or wards
  • Stabilize patients before consultant arrival
  • Administer medications, IV fluids, oxygen therapy, and other interventions as per consultant orders or standing protocols Initiate resuscitation measures (BLS/ACLS) as required 3 Treatment & Procedures
  • Assist in minor procedures and prepare patients for 4 Coordination with Consultants 5 Documentation & Records 6 Patient & Attendant Communication 7 Shift Handover surgeries/interventions
  • Ensure infection control practices during patient care
  • Escalate cases to relevant specialists promptly
  • Implement consultants orders accurately and document in patient files
  • Maintain complete and accurate patient case sheets, consent forms, and discharge summaries
  • Ensure medico legal documentation for accident, poisoning, and medico legal cases (MLC)
  • Provide updates to patient attendants in coordination with consultants as per hospital policy
  • Provide a detailed handover to the next shift DMO regarding patient status, pending investigations, and critical alerts
