Job Description

Position Purpose

Seeking talented senior.Net Framework/.NET Core C# Engineer and expert with strong system architecture background in Microsoft technologies for the Global Market Development team in India. Focus of project is to migrate from .Net to .Net Core using gRPC, Webapi and Angular 8+ framework on Cloud environment.

Responsibilities

Direct Responsibilities

Maintenance and Feature Programming Testing and development of new features for an application that distributes settlement instructions and account master data to downstream systems. There are also a variety of portals that support custom processes for our Client Service groups. Work required in both Windows server processes and in IIS based web environments. There is some Java based code in addition to .NET.

Level 3 Application Support Working with users to diagnose data and application problems.

Infrastructure Liaison Work with the hardware infrastructure team to perform migrations to new application servers and databases when necessary.

Contributing Responsibilities

Technical & Behavioral Competencies

Lead, develop and maintain assigned projects in .Net Framework/.NET Core and MS SQL. Tuning SQL Server queries, refactoring and reengineering SOA modules to business specification and programming standards.

Reengineer existing WCF windows services to use gRPC and introduce WEBAPI replacing existing REST API calls.

Reengineer existing XBAP UI to Angular 8+ framework.

Introduce container-orchestration (Docker/Kubernetes) and microservices to the existing DEVOPs infrastructure for application scaling and management.

Good experience with Microsoft SQL server, database objects and a database development tools such as DBArtisan or MS SQL Server.

Review and provide architecture design for the assigned projects to cover development, testing, & deployment.

Follow the internal procedures and the guidelines during project life cycle.

Participate in execution of integration & user acceptance testing.

Coordinate w/ Project Manager to communicate status and report issues to the Business & IT management.

Nice to have technical Skills

Integration of infragistics controls.

Kafka implementation

Design: UML or Visio

Agile Development / Scrum Methodologies

Test Driven Development (TDD) Unit testing

Continuous integration: Jenkins , TFS , Sonar

Specific Qualifications (if required)

Educational Qualifications : B.E / B. Tech or equivalent.

Work experience (in years): 10+ years of experience in software development and system architecture with Microsoft technologies.

Expert knowledge of .NET Core and .NET Standard.

Expert working knowledge of Threading.

Solid experience in converting .NET Framework multi-threaded services into .NET Core.

Expert knowledge of WCF and its configuration with SOA in mind.

Experience/Knowledge about converting WCF windows services to Micro-services using gRPC.

Understanding of WPF UI development.

Knowledge about Angular 8+, Javascript is a must

Experience implementing container-orchestration to DEVOPs platform to manage and scale micro-services.

Exposure to Capital Markets or the broader financial industry is a plus

Detailed working knowledge of Database design and SQL development tuning is a plus

Detailed Knowledge of SQL Server Change Data Capture (CDC), Query Notifications (QN), triggers and SBQ is a plus.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills with experience in creating technical documentation.

Ability to work independently with Business Users/PMO; defining development requirements, managing technical aspects of User Acceptance Testing.
