Job Description

Role Overview – VB6 + .NET Developer

In this role, you'll be working closely with technical architects, project managers, and business analysts to modernize and maintain enterprise applications. You’ll help bridge classic VB6 solutions with .NET-based upgrades to ensure smooth transitions and scalable performance.

Key Skills & Experience Required

5+ years
of hands-on experience with
Visual Basic 6.0 (VB6)
Strong experience in
.NET Framework
, especially
VB.NET and C#
Experience with
Windows Forms, Web Forms, and/or WPF
Proficiency in
SQL Server
and database design concepts
Exposure to
COM/COM+ components
, ActiveX controls, and legacy integration
Good understanding of
Object-Oriented Programming
Experience in migrating applications from VB6 to .NET is a strong plus
Familiarity with
Web APIs
, RESTful services, and enterprise architecture
Knowledge of tools like
SourceSafe, TFS, or Git
for version control
Understanding of
UI/UX
standards using HTML, CSS, JavaScript is a bonus
