DM/Manager for Cost Reduction activities

Role Overview: You will be responsible for conducting cost reduction activities and drives within the company. This includes activities such as VA-VE, Cost Workshop, Import part Localization, Inner Part Localization, and Yield improvement. Key Responsibilities: - Gain extensive hands-on experience in cost reduction drives including VA-VE, Localization, Inner Part Location, yield improvement, and Cost Workshops. - Perform teardown & functional analysis, cost estimation, part level benchmarking, and techno-commercial comparison and analysis for various vehicle systems such as Body, Interiors, Electrical & Electronic components, Chassis, and Powertrain components. - Analyze proposals, create costing estimates, and negotiate with internal stakeholders. - Conduct Vehicle Cost Analysis, understand Bill of Materials (BOM), and compare components with competitor vehicle parts. - Generate innovative value enhancement and design to cost proposals. - Demonstrate self-initiative, teamwork, and passion for cost reduction and analysis. - Develop ideas for cost and weight reduction as well as new technologies. - Exhibit excellent communication skills including verbal, written, and report writing. Qualification Required: - Educational Qualification: B.E / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communication, or Mechatronics. - Competency Requirements: - Technical/Functional: Possess thorough technical and commercial knowledge of cost reduction for automotive systems/subsystems/parts as well as product manufacturing technology and production engineering. - Managerial: Ability to plan and schedule activities in advance, communicate effectively with peers, vendors, cross-functional teams, and machine makers, and maintain a positive attitude towards new initiatives.
