DM/Manager for Cost Reduction activities

As a Cost Reduction Specialist, you will be responsible for leading cost reduction activities and drives within the company. Your role will involve implementing Value Analysis-Value Engineering (VA-VE), Cost Workshops, Import Part Localization, Inner Part Localization, Yield Improvement, and other cost-saving initiatives. Your responsibilities will include hands-on experience in cost reduction drives such as VA-VE, Localization, Inner Part Localization, yield improvement, and Cost Workshops. You will conduct teardowns, functional analysis, cost estimation, part-level benchmarking, and techno-commercial comparison across various vehicle systems including Body, Interiors, Electrical & Electronic components, Chassis, and Powertrain components. Additionally, you will be involved in proposal analysis, costing, negotiation with internal stakeholders, Vehicle Cost Analysis, Bill of Materials (BOM) understanding, and comparison of components with competitor vehicle parts. You are expected to generate innovative value enhancement and design proposals while actively contributing to cost and weight reduction ideas. The ideal candidate should be a self-initiator, team player, and enthusiastic about cost reduction, analysis, and new technology ideas. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for effective interaction with internal and external stakeholders. Your industrial experience in Manufacturing Technology, Production Engineering, Research & Development, and familiarity with Automotive New Technology Components will be valuable. Competency requirements include a solid technical and commercial understanding of cost reduction strategies for automotive systems/subsystems/parts, manufacturing technology, and production engineering. As a Cost Reduction Specialist, you should possess managerial skills to plan, schedule activities in advance, and effectively communicate with peers, vendors, cross-functional teams, and machine makers. A positive attitude with a willingness to undertake new initiatives is crucial for success in this role. The educational qualification required for this position is a B.E/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communication, or Mechatronics.,
