DLP Lead

We are seeking a highly experienced and hands-on Forcepoint DLP Senior Lead to design, implement, and manage our clients enterprise-wide data loss prevention program. The ideal candidate will act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all Forcepoint DLP components, ensuring robust data protection measures are in place and aligned with business and regulatory requirements. This role includes a strong leadership component, managing L1/L2 teams and driving continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategy & Architecture

  : Design, implement, and continuously enhance the organization's DLP strategy, policies, and controls using the Forcepoint platform.

• Deployment & Configuration

  : Lead the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of all Forcepoint DLP components, including management servers, policy servers, and endpoint agents.

• Policy Management

  : Create, configure, and tune complex DLP policies and rules to prevent unauthorized data access, transfer, or leakage across various channels (web, email, endpoint, cloud).

• Incident Management

  : Oversee DLP incident monitoring, triage, investigation, and response, ensuring all incidents are tracked to closure within defined SLAs. Serve as the primary escalation point for critical incidents and perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA).

• Tuning & Optimization

  : Proactively evaluate and tune policies to reduce false positives and negatives, ensuring the effectiveness and accuracy of the DLP detection engines.

• Compliance & Auditing

  : Ensure DLP policies and procedures align with regulatory frameworks (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, CCPA, ISO 27001) and internal security policies. Act as the SME during audits and assessments, providing necessary documentation and evidence.

• Integration

  : Integrate Forcepoint DLP solutions with other security platforms, such as SIEMs and data classification tools, to enhance visibility and correlation.

• Team Leadership & Mentoring

  : Lead and mentor a team of DLP analysts (L1/L2), fostering skill development, clear career paths, and operational excellence. Manage team workload, shift rotations, and performance reviews.

• Reporting

  : Develop and deliver executive-level summaries, dashboards, and reports on the DLP posture, trends, and KPIs.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Experience

  : Minimum of 7 years in cybersecurity, with significant hands-on experience in implementing and managing Data Loss Prevention solutions, preferably Forcepoint DLP.

• Technical Expertise

  : In-depth knowledge of Forcepoint DLP architecture, policy creation, incident management workflows, data discovery, and fingerprinting.

• Data Knowledge

  : Strong understanding of data protection principles, data classification, and regulatory compliance requirements.

• Leadership Skills

  : Proven experience managing security operations teams, including mentoring junior analysts, conflict resolution, and performance management.

• Soft Skills

  : Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (IT, Legal, HR, Compliance).

• Certifications (Preferred)

  : Relevant certifications such as Certified DLP Professional (Forcepoint), CISM, CISSP, or ISO 27001 Lead Auditor.

• Automation:

  Experience with automation scripting (PowerShell, Python, or Bash) is a plus
