Dispatch Supervisor/Manager

Role & Responsibilities: -

• Dispatch Coordination:

• Supervise and manage the dispatch team, including dispatchers, drivers, and packers.
• Oversee the timely packing, sorting, and loading of bakery products for delivery.
• Ensure that all orders are fulfilled correctly, ensuring product quality.
• Review daily orders and delivery schedules to ensure efficient dispatch planning.
• Monitor and optimize the dispatch process to meet company delivery targets and deadlines.

• Team Management:

• Lead, train, and motivate the dispatch team to maintain high standards of productivity and safety.
• Assign tasks to team members, track progress, and resolve any issues that may arise during the dispatch process.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to improve team performance.
• Ensure staff is properly trained in the handling, packaging, and transport of bakery goods.

• Quality Control:

• Ensure that products are packaged according to company standards to prevent damage during transportation.
• Monitor the temperature and storage conditions of perishable items to ensure food safety compliance.
• Check and verify all outgoing orders for accuracy, ensuring correct quantities and product types are dispatched.

• Logistics and Scheduling:

• Maintain an accurate inventory of dispatched goods and track the status of deliveries.
• Coordinate with drivers, ensuring they have the necessary documentation and instructions for each delivery.
• Ensure compliance with delivery deadlines, monitoring traffic or weather-related delays.
• Manage the return of undelivered or rejected products and ensure appropriate records are kept.

• Health and Safety:

• Ensure that dispatch operations follow all company safety protocols and regulations.
• Conduct regular safety checks of equipment, vehicles, and dispatch areas to ensure a safe working environment.
• Enforce hygiene standards and food safety regulations within the dispatch process.

• Reporting and Documentation:

• Prepare and maintain dispatch reports, including delivery logs, inventory records, and any issues encountered during dispatch.
• Monitor and track delivery performance metrics, providing reports to management.
• Assist with managing the return of stock or damaged goods, ensuring proper documentation is maintained.
