Job Purpose

Key Responsibilities

• Install a variety of glass in doors, ensuring a precise fit
• Seal joints and edges of glass using putty, foam and caulking compound to prevent leakage and drafts
• Replace damaged or broken glass as needed.
• Install and secure hardware fittings such as hinges, locks and letterplates
• Inspect completed glass and hardware installations to ensure they meet quality standards
• Apply touch up paint as required after glazing and hardware fitting
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or problems that arise during installation
• Verify that the glass design matches the specifications
• Inspect finished doors for flaws, and report as necessary
• Organising jobs that are to be dispatch the following morning ensuring the correct goods are being dispatched to the right locations
• Report any equipment malfunctions or repair needs promptly.
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines when handling paints, solvents, and other chemicals.
• Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
• Keep work area clean and organised.
• Complete production reports and documentation accurately.
