Director- Technical project leader

As a Technical Project Leader at Novartis, you will play a crucial role in leading and managing all technical development activities for assigned small molecule projects within Technical Research & Development (TRD). You will represent TRD as a core member in global project teams to define the global CMC strategy for the development, submission, approval, and life cycle management of products. Your main responsibilities will include: - Perform strategic planning for complex and accelerated projects, aligning and coordinating multiple activities, establishing realistic project timelines, and tracking progress effectively. - Establish technical development plans based on project priority classification, gated by clinical readouts, and considering overall portfolio priorities. - Identify, assess, manage, and communicate CMC risks and program risks, including handling difficult risks in complex projects. - Provide drug development expertise along with technical expertise, challenge the status quo, and foster creativity within the team. - Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders, participate in boards and leadership discussions, and collaborate effectively in various settings. - Share industry knowledge, including insights on competitors, customers, and the external environment, and actively contribute to EPTs/GPTs beyond CMC line functions. Furthermore, you will be required to have the following qualifications: - Minimum of 2-3 years of directly related experience as a functional project leader and relevant experience as Associate TPL or equivalent. - Strong scientific and technical knowledge, understanding of technical development tasks, and ability to establish/maintain DS/DP/Device supply plan. - Fundamental knowledge of GMP and regulatory requirements, cross-functional knowledge regarding drug development, and completed basic project management training. - Proficiency in using project management tools such as Gantt charts, MS Project, and Resource Cockpit, as well as effective presentation skills.,
