Job Description

As a Director of Career Development Services at our institution, your role will be pivotal in shaping the career journeys of students across Engineering, Management, Law & Liberal Studies disciplines. You will be a seasoned leader with over 15-20 years of experience in campus placements, corporate engagement, and strategic academic-industry partnerships. Your primary responsibilities will include: - **Team Leadership**: - Efficiently manage a team of Career Development Services (CDS) members & student body to ensure 100% delivery of assigned targets within the given timeline. - **Strategic Placement Leadership**: - Develop and implement a robust university placement roadmap aligned with current industry needs. - Ensure maximum placement outcomes for students through targeted engagement with national and global employers. - Oversee placement metrics and institutional outcomes with a data-driven, analytical approach. - **Corporate Relations & Industry Connect**: - Build high-impact partnerships with reputed corporates, law firms, consulting companies, and multinationals. - Leverage industry relationships for holistic engagement including placements, internships, and industry visits. - Represent the institution at national and international forums, promoting its brand. - **Student Development, Mentorship & Expectation Management**: - Collaborate with faculty and training vendors to bridge skill gaps. - Lead employability initiatives through customized training programs. - Provide personalized mentorship and career coaching to students. - **Institutional Branding & Events**: - Conceptualize and host corporate summits and employer branding events. - Enhance institutional visibility through digital platforms and alumni networks. - **Operational Excellence**: - Drive transparent, ethical, and compliant placement practices. - Supervise a team with a collaborative leadership style. - Monitor key KPIs for continuous improvement of CGDC activities. Qualifications & Experience: - Postgraduate in Management / Engineering / Law / Human Resources or related field. - 15-20 years of experience in campus placements, corporate relations, or career development. - Proven track record of leadership, corporate networking, and student success. - Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and strategic planning skills.
