Director of New Ventures, India

As a Director at Redesign Health's New Ventures team in Bengaluru, India, you will play a crucial role in identifying and developing market-defining healthcare companies globally. Your responsibilities will include leading the research, prototyping, and launch of new Portfolio Companies in the healthcare sector. This position reports to a Managing Director in the U.S. and requires working hours that overlap 5 hours per day with Eastern Standard Time. Your primary tasks will involve exploring and analyzing U.S. and global healthcare markets for innovative opportunities, conducting research and analysis to refine ideas into viable concepts, creating investment memos to support funding decisions, and collaborating with various teams within the organization to drive ideation efforts. Additionally, you will provide strategic guidance to existing portfolio companies and founding teams and explore ways to leverage AI in operational approaches. The ideal candidate for this role should hold a Bachelor's degree (MBA preferred) with a strong academic background, possess at least 10 years of experience in investment banking, venture capital, private equity, corporate development, or management consulting, and have prior experience in the healthcare industry. Proficiency in business model analysis, research, investment thesis development, and financial modeling is essential. The role demands a proactive individual with a keen interest in AI and emerging technologies.
