Job Description

As an Assistant tasked with assisting in leading the sales efforts at the property, you will play a key role in implementing the segment sales strategy to achieve revenue goals and enhance guest and employee satisfaction. Your primary focus will be on developing long-term customer relationships to drive property sales objectives while also meeting personal booking goals. To qualify for this role, you should possess a 2-year degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or a related field, along with at least 3 years of experience in sales and marketing. Alternatively, a 4-year bachelor's degree in the same fields with 1 year of relevant experience will also be considered. Your core work activities will involve collaborating with the sales leader to understand and execute the sales strategy effectively. You will assist in the development of aggressive solicitation programs to increase business and work with the management team to create a sales plan that addresses revenue and market needs. Additionally, you will be responsible for implementing promotions and providing leadership to maximize revenue potential. In terms of managing sales activities, you will be involved in approving space releases for catering, participating in sales calls to acquire new business, and overseeing the operational aspects of booked business. Analyzing market data, reporting on sales and financial information, and ensuring exceptional customer service will also be part of your responsibilities. Building successful relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external, is crucial for this role. You will collaborate with off-property sales channels to ensure sales efforts are aligned and comply with regulations and union requirements. Attending customer events, trade shows, and sales missions will be essential for maintaining and developing key relationships.
