Director of Engineering

Role Overview: As a pivotal member at Zenwork, you will be responsible for driving the technical vision, ensuring robust architecture, and fostering a culture of excellence. Your role will involve providing strategic leadership, focusing on technical excellence, team & project management, collaboration & delivery, and showcasing your technical expertise. Key Responsibilities: - **Provide Strategic Leadership:** - Lead the software engineering team with expertise in Node.js, Python, Java, or similar languages to develop innovative and scalable solutions. - Spearhead AI and ML initiatives for building next-generation fintech solutions. - Define and deliver a technology roadmap aligning with business objectives. - **Technical Excellence:** - Oversee software architecture to ensure scalability and robust design. - Lead AI initiatives to enhance product capabilities and market differentiation. - **Team & Project Management:** - Mentor engineering managers and senior engineers for professional growth and team cohesion. - Manage the end-to-end software development lifecycle from requirements gathering to deployment. - Establish and enforce best practices for engineering excellence including code quality, testing, and deployment. - **Collaboration & Delivery:** - Work cross-functionally to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions. - Interface with stakeholders to ensure alignment on deliverables and timelines. - Manage project budgets, timelines, and team performance using key metrics. Qualifications Required: - **What We Look For:** - Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or related field. - 10+ years of experience in software development with a strong focus on Node.js technologies, Node.js, Python, Java, or similar languages. - Proficiency in messaging technologies, microservices, API design, and relational/NoSQL databases. - **Leadership & Collaboration:** - Proven ability to scale engineering teams and processes in high-growth environments. - Exceptional problem-solving skills and decision-making in dynamic settings. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills to bridge technical and non-technical stakeholders. - **Process-Driven Approach:** - Deep understanding of Agile methodologies and their implementation across teams. - Commitment to innovation and continuous improvement in engineering practices.,
