Job Description

As the Head of Internal Audit (India) at Tenneco, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing audit procedures and systems for auditing the financial and operational control systems of Indian entities. Your responsibilities will include coordinating and communicating audit activities, managing individual audit projects and related staff, and overseeing the day-to-day management of audit staff outsourcing relationships. **Key Responsibilities:** - Execution of an annual risk assessment and development of the Audit Plan for Indian entities. - Scoping, planning, and assessing internal controls over business operations and financial reporting. - Developing, planning, executing, and reporting on each engagement. - Assigning tasks, managing execution, and communicating specific elements of the risk-based work plan. - Establishing and enhancing positive business relationships with internal resources and external audit firms. - Coordinating IT testing and financial direct assistance procedures with global IT Audit Teams. - Creating value-add reporting. - Aligning Audit activities with Tenneco's Global Internal Audit Group. - Monitoring internal metrics to evaluate the performance of service providers. - Providing leadership to team members in achieving department goals. - Managing cost and execution of co-source partner relationships in India. **Compliance Responsibilities:** - Being a member of the India Compliance Committee and liaising with the Global Security Department. - Performing investigation procedures as required. **Qualifications Required:** - Education: Chartered Accountant, complimented by CIA, CFE, CISA, and/or CPA certification preferred. - Experience: Minimum of 15-17 years in an Internal Audit function of an Indian listed entity, with experience in consulting in the formative part of your career. Experience in a manufacturing environment (auto/ancillary) is preferred, along with working experience with pan-India/global stakeholders. - Requirements: Demonstrated leadership skills, ability to create and maintain productive work relationships, implement process improvement projects related to the job description, manage multiple projects concurrently, strong understanding of professional audit standards, excellent judgment, organizational and prioritization skills, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, ability to establish and maintain effective communication with leaders within Indian businesses, Audit Committee Members, and external parties, manage and function in a multiple reporting relationship structure, ability to travel extensively in India and internationally, and possessing an active US B1/B2 Visa.,
