Job Description

As the Director, Human Resources Business Partner at our company, your role will involve partnering with operations leadership to develop and deliver HR strategies aligned with business goals. You will be responsible for driving workforce planning, organizational design, and talent initiatives to support production growth and operational scalability. Acting as a trusted advisor, you will coach leaders on performance, engagement, and organizational effectiveness. Additionally, you will assist with succession planning and capability development for the India manufacturing workforce. Key responsibilities include: - Foster a high-performance culture emphasizing safety, accountability, inclusion, and continuous improvement. - Champion employee engagement and retention strategies reflecting Ohmium's mission and values. - Provide expert guidance on employee relations, grievance resolution, and disciplinary matters to ensure fair and consistent practices. - Ensure compliance with Indian labor laws, safety regulations, and company policies. - Partner with EHS and site management on initiatives supporting workplace safety and employee well-being. - Create data-driven dashboards and reporting for leadership on key HR metrics. - Lead, develop, and mentor a team of three HR coordinators across sites. - Build a culture of collaboration, operational efficiency, and accountability within the India HR team. Qualifications required: - Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. - 15+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a manufacturing HRBP or plant HR leadership role. - Experience supporting multi-site operations across India. - Solid knowledge of Indian labor laws, compliance frameworks, and industrial relations best practices. - Experience in a clean energy, engineering, or advanced manufacturing environment is preferable. - Prior experience in start-up or rapid-growth settings. - HR certification (SHRM, CIPD or equivalent).
