Job Description

As an Engineering Director over our Core Marketplace Services group, you will lead 6 of our engineering squads delivering mission critical services across the Eventbrite platform. This includes our Identity team over user management services, Privacy, Risk & Fraud, and other horizontal services leveraged by engineering teams across Eventbrite. You will be involved in setting strategy and direction that aligns with Eventbrite s customer-first mindset, delivering best-in-class technical solutions in these spaces, and continuing to grow and mature the teams in your organization. Your role will be pivotal in continuing to grow Eventbrite s engineering presence in our new India office.

THE SKILL SET

o 15 years of software development experience, including

o 3+ years of experience managing other managers

o Experience working with geographically distributed teams

o Experience with AWS or other major cloud providers

o Experience concurrently leading multiple teams and managers.

o Comfortable with the 50K ft view as well as diving into the details

o Experience partnering with cross-functional leaders to define strategy, goals, and roadmaps

o Successfully recruited and mentored strong managers and developers

o Experience in scaling world class engineering teams

BONUS POINTS

o You have managed teams and other managers in multiple geographies

o You have built engineering teams from the ground up

o Prior management of teams across the stack frontend, backend, and infrastructure is a significant plus as teams at Eventbrite have full autonomy and ownership of their services
