Job Description

Role Overview: You will be joining the Digital Partnerships team in South Asia as a Director, Business Development based in Mumbai, India. Your primary responsibility will be to manage key strategic partnerships across the Digital Ecosystem, including Tech Giants, Wallets, Marketplaces, Gig economy, OTT, Fintech, and more. Your role will involve positioning Mastercard as the preferred strategic technology and business partner, executing large-scale competitive commercial partnerships, and providing thought leadership while managing expectations of local and global teams. Key Responsibilities: - Partnership Management: - Manage multiple relationships internally and externally across the Digital ecosystem. - New Business Development: - Identify and prioritize potential opportunities for business growth within existing and new partnerships. - C Suite & multi-domain engagement. - Commercial and Legal: - Conduct business modeling efforts, manage P&Ls, and negotiate complex contracts. - Cross-functional engagement: - Collaborate with cross-functional team members and country teams to plan and execute account-level product and business plans. Qualifications Required: - An MBA, CA, or Masters in any subject with 11-14 years of work experience. - Sound Techno-commercial acumen with an understanding of key Digital verticals and dynamics. - Established track record of achieving quantitative targets and building business relationships. - Demonstrated success in introducing Digital/Fintech solutions into various markets and driving increased penetration with clients. - Ability to operate with or without teams and start business partnerships from scratch.
