SequestraBionix Foundation, based in Chandannagar, West Bengal, India, is a newly incorporated non-governmental organization focused on environmental restoration and sustainable agriculture. Established on June 11, 2025, the foundation's mission is to develop carbon-smart farming and water-positive ecosystems through innovative agroforestry models supported by GIS and remote sensing technologies. The foundation emphasizes river-bank restoration, GIS-backed monitoring systems, and community engagement to restore degraded lands and generate carbon credits. The board of directors includes notable leaders such as Soumodip Atanu Roy and Dipak Samanta.

Role Description

This is a part time remote role for a Director and Investor based in Serampore-Uttarpara. The Director and Investor will provide strategic leadership, manage financial resources, and engage with stakeholders to promote and fulfill the foundation's mission. Daily tasks include overseeing project implementation, cultivating donor relationships, ensuring regulatory compliance, and leveraging GIS-backed monitoring systems for data-driven decision-making. The role will also involve community engagement to support agroforestry activities and carbon credit generation.

Qualifications

• Experience in financial management and fundraising

• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Background in environmental sciences, agriculture, or related fields
• Experience working with non-governmental organizations (NGOs) is a plus
