Direct Walkin - Stress Engineer

Should have basic knowledge in FEA, Solid mechanics, Machine design and Fatigue and damage tolerance concepts with strong engineering fundamentals.

Should be able to read engineering drawings, know basic concepts of GD&T

Basic understanding of engine components like Fan Case/ Intermediate case/ Diffuser case, HPC/LPC/HPT/LPT Rotors, aerofoils and other mechanical components

Hands-on experience of working on 2D/3D static, Modal, Linear Non-linear analysis, submodel analysis for aerospace components and systems with minimal supervision.

Basic understanding on Strength, buckling and Durability(LCF/HCF) of components.

Collaborate with senior engineers to prepare technical solutions for the incoming hardwares from the aero engine overhaul shops with damage/non conformances

Study previous solutions for clearing the impacted hardware’s and apply them as required to current requirements

Study the engine and service manuals to understand the serviceable limits, repair limits, and repair procedures for the required engine hardware’s

Understand the design solution and provide resolution to the identified non-conformances duly following customer methods and processes

Stress analysis of the reported damage conditions using ANSYS APDL,HYPERMESH,SIESTA

Edit APDL macros for required analysis

Excellent communication and presentation abilities.

Required Qualifications

3 to 12 years of experience in mechanical design & analysis of aircraft engine models

Graduate/Postgraduate in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace engineering with excellent academic background

Good understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals, Design Principles, basic drawing reading skills , GD & T concepts

Familiarity with Non-Conformance, repair evaluation processes and regulations

Experience in engine components like Fan Case/ Intermediate case/ Diffuser case, HPC/LPC/HPT/LPT Rotors, aerofoils and other mechanical components

Experience in ANSYS ,HYPERMESH, Unigraphics, software and Siesta is added advantage

Strong oral and written communication skills

Self-motivated and ability to meet stringent deadlines and deliver under pressure conditions
