Direct Taxation Executive

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Chartered Accountant to join our Direct Taxation team. The ideal candidate must possess in-depth knowledge of Indian Direct Tax laws, TDS, and Income Tax compliance. Experience in International Taxation and handling litigation will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently handle Direct Tax compliance and advisory matters for clients.
• Compute and manage TDS liabilities, ensure timely payment, and file TDS returns.
• Prepare and review advance tax workings and tax provisions (quarterly/yearly).
• File Income Tax Returns for individuals, firms, and corporates.
• Prepare and review Tax Audit Reports (Form 3CD) and Transfer Pricing Reports (Form 3CEB).
• Ensure proper reconciliation of TDS with general ledger accounts.
• Manage client relationships and provide day-to-day tax compliance support.
• Assist in managing tax assessments, appeals, and litigation matters up to ITAT level.
• Prepare data and documentation for tax audits, assessments, and appellate proceedings.
• Draft submissions, replies to tax notices, and coordinate with tax authorities.
• Analyze DTAA and other international tax matters as applicable.
• Prepare MIS and management reports related to tax compliance.
• Address vendor queries on TDS and generate TDS certificates.
• Identify transfer pricing applicability and assist in the preparation of TP studies and documentation.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Chartered Accountant with 16 years of relevant experience in Direct Taxation.
• Solid understanding of Indian Income Tax Act, TDS provisions, Tax Audits, and related compliance.
• Familiarity with Transfer Pricing and International Taxation regulations is a plus.
• Strong analytical, drafting, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple clients and work independently.
