Direct Material Sourcing

As a Direct Material Sourcing professional at Tata Electronics Pvt. Ltd., you will play a crucial role in managing the cost and global sourcing of electronics components. Your responsibilities will include: - Demonstrating expertise in costing and global sourcing at the electronics component level, encompassing Passive & Active components, ICs, PCBs, and PCB Assembling Processes. - Reviewing and analyzing the Bill of Material, PCB Gerber, Mechanical Drawing, Cable Assembly Drawing, Label Spec & Consumable data sheet to segregate components effectively. - Floating enquiries, conducting comparative cost analysis, estimating costs, and negotiating with approved vendors both technically and commercially. - Coordinating with suppliers to obtain accurate quotations for required materials, preparing Price Comparisons, and selecting vendors based on cost, quality, and capability. - Negotiating costs with suppliers to maintain control through detailed cost analysis. - Developing alternate vendor sources for localization, reducing delivery time, and enhancing consistency in quality among vendors. - Identifying alternatives for obsolete parts and sourcing from local vendors to increase the proportion of locally sourced products and materials. - Implementing Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) programs for both local and import suppliers to minimize inventory and manage Days of Supply (DOS). - Enhancing the Value to Price relationship to achieve cost reduction while ensuring and enhancing quality and service levels. - Validating lead time, Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ), and Fixed Lot Multiplier (FLM) consistently to prevent excess and obsolete inventory. - Exploring and cultivating new supplier sources and establishing long-term partnerships with suppliers to ensure service, cost, delivery, and quality norms are met. In addition to the key responsibilities, it is essential that you possess the following attributes: - Proficiency in system database management, NPI handling, Cost Savings & Localization. To qualify for this role, you should have: - 3 to 8 years of relevant experience in the field of Direct Material Sourcing. - A Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electronics, Mechanical, Electrical, or any related stream (Mandatory). - An MBA in material management, logistics management, imports & exports management would be considered an added advantage.,
