Direct Material Sourcing

As a Direct Material Sourcing at Tata Electronics Pvt. Ltd., you will play a crucial role in the electronics manufacturing industry. Your responsibilities will include: - Possessing Costing & Global Sourcing knowledge on Electronics component level including all Passive & Active components, ICs, PCB and PCB Assembling Processes. - Reviewing the Bill of material, PCB Gerber, Mechanical Drawing, Cable Assembly Drawing, Label Spec & Consumable data sheet to separate the Components effectively. - Floating Enquiries, conducting comparative cost analysis, estimating and negotiating with technically & commercially approved vendors. - Coordinating with suppliers to obtain quotations for exact materials required and preparing Price Comparisons for selection of vendor based on cost, quality & capability. - Analyzing Quotes to negotiate Price and terms & Conditions, finalizing for Procurements and keeping costs in control through cost analysis. - Identifying and developing alternate vendor sources for localization, reducing delivery time, and improving consistency in quality & competition among vendors. - Finding alternatives for obsolete parts and sourcing from local vendors for imported parts to increase the proportion of locally sourced products and Materials. - Establishing the VMI program for Local and import suppliers to reduce inventory and manage DOS effectively. - Improving the Value to Price relationship to achieve cost Reduction while Maintaining and improving Quality / Service. - Consistently validating lead time, Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ), and Fixed Lot Multiplier (FLM) to ensure accuracy and prevent unnecessary excess and obsolete (E&O). - Exploring & developing new supplier sources and determining long-term suppliers. - Developing long-term partnerships with suppliers and managing day-to-day supplier performance to ensure meeting service, cost, delivery & quality norms. Your essential attributes for this role include System database management, NPI handling, Cost Savings & Localization. To qualify for this position, you should have: - 3 to 8 years of relevant experience - Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics / Mechanical/ Electrical / Any Stream (Mandatory) - MBA in material management, logistics management, imports & exports management (If Added Advantage),
