Role Description

The DIMSUM Specialty Chef is a full-time, on-site position based in Chennai. The chef will be responsible for preparing, presenting, and perfecting a variety of dim sum dishes. Day-to-day tasks include supervising the dim sum preparation process, ensuring food quality and consistency, developing new recipes, managing ingredients, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety. The chef will collaborate with the culinary team to innovate and enhance the menu, ensuring an exceptional dining experience for guests.

Qualifications

• Extensive expertise in dim sum preparation, steaming, folding, and presentation techniques
• Strong knowledge of Asian cuisine and familiarity with traditional cooking methods
• Ability to create and experiment with new dim sum recipes to enhance the menu
• Keen attention to detail in food preparation, plating, and quality assurance
• Experience in managing kitchen operations, team coordination, and inventory control
• Understanding of food safety standards, hygiene protocols, and kitchen cleanliness
• Adaptability and creativity to consistently deliver exceptional results
• Culinary certification or diploma is preferred
